Mentoring & Discipleship

Discipleship programs at Free The City pair experienced adults with youth to provide guidance, support, and positive role modeling. Our mentors, trained to address the unique challenges faced by East Cleveland's youth, help cultivate personal growth and spiritual development through consistent, faith-based mentorship. All mentees will learn essential skills and lessons, through our comprehensive discipleship curriculum. This curriculum provides hands-on experiences that equip them with practical knowledge and skills they can take with them wherever they go. These experiences include basic coding, gardening and planting, job readiness training, event planning, public speaking, basic home repairs, and many others. Through these interactive activities, we aim to empower youth to thrive in various aspects of their lives and become well-rounded individuals ready to face future challenges.

Club Night: Relaunch Starting 2025

Club Night is a monthly gathering designed to offer a vibrant space for enjoyment, community building, and spiritual growth through discipleship. Held every 4th Friday, the event features engaging games, shared meals, devotional sessions, and facilitated activities that foster connection and identify students for mentorship opportunities.

Workout X Boxing is a developing program that will provide a safe environment for youth to engage in physical activity, develop discipline, and build self-confidence. This program will offer structured boxing classes, fitness training sessions, personalized fitness plans, and nutrition education, all led by certified coaches and trainers committed to fostering holistic well-being.

Hope Gathering

The Hope Gathering unites leaders to explore creative ways to share the Gospel in East Cleveland, providing mutual encouragement, prayer, and collaboration. It aims to equip leaders with tools and strategies to make a lasting spiritual impact in the community.
